What is medical transportation?

Medical transportation is transportation to and from medical-related appointments.

How do I schedule transportation?

Transportation can be scheduled by calling 512-472-RIDE (7433), emailing us at customerservice@dedicatedmedicaltransportation.com or filling out our online Request Form. For additional details on the information needed to schedule a pick-up, please see Services.

What are your standard hours of operation?

We offer transportation Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 7:00 PM. If you require transportation outside these hours, there will be an additional per-trip fee of $15.00. Please call 512-472-RIDE (7433) to schedule transportation outside our standard hours of operation.

How far in advance do I need to schedule transportation?

In order to maintain reliable service, we require a 24-hour notice. If you have a last-minute need, please call 512-472-RIDE (7433). We will try to accommodate your request.

Do you offer transportation for stretchers?

Currently, we do not offer transportation for stretchers. However, this service may be added in the future. Please check back soon.

Do you offer door-to-door service?

Yes. We offer full door-to-door service to meet all of your needs.

Is there a wait time?

We do everything we can to ensure that you are picked up in a timely manner. Due to the fluctuation in appointment times, there could be a slight delay in pick-up for the return trip home. See Services for additional information.

What type of vehicle do you use?

We use Ford E-350s wheelchair/handicap conversion vans. They are ADA-compliant.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

How are the rates structured?

All trips during our standard hours of operation and in the Austin city limits are charged a flat one-trip rate. See Rates for additional information.

Do you allow a companion?

Yes, and there is no additional fee.
